NOW WHAT?
We have no fucking idea.
COUNTRY'S NEWEST DISRUPTOR
Three chords and some truth you may not be ready for.
AI IS ALREADY EATING YOUR LUNCH
The kids can tell the difference... for now.
WHO'S BUYING THE DRINKS?
That's what we'd like to know.

We are losing good songs, songs with callout, songs that have the signs of being big at the format. Why you ask, because the minute a song slows downs to wait for callout the “spin watchers” get ready to pull the plug and move on before giving the song a minute to grow. We are moving things through the system and instead of looking for the good metrics we are looking for ways to pull them and move on. Slow down, let songs have time to become familiar before throwing them into callout and then allow it the time grow. Ok … I’ll get off my soapbox (for the moment). Next: Artist Separation!
Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell look like they’ll retain that #1 position on the chart when Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee f/Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam) relinquishes it, as Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” (Island) climbs past everything this week heading to the top of the chart.
