SAN DIEGO'S KMYI IS GETTING HAZE-Y

Joe Haze, a 20-year market vet and current PD of iHeartMedia's Top 40 KHTS, will also be directing Hot AC sister KMYI, effective immediately. Haze will still host Afternoon Drive on Star 94.1 (KMYI), as he has since 2008.

SVP Programming for iHeartMedia's San Diego/Riverside Region Rob Scorpio had this to say of expanding Haze's position: "Haze has been instrumental in the success of Channel 93.3 since its inception. His passion for CHR and Hot AC formats along with his knowledge and experience makes him the ideal choice to continue STAR 94.1's dominance in the San Diego market."

"I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to program two powerful, iconic brands like Star 94.1 and Channel 93.3," added Haze, who was promoted to PD of Channel 93.3 in September of 2010 and served as a night host since its launch in 1997. "This is exciting and to be able to further my career in a market like San Diego is amazing!"

Before moving to San Diego, Haze worked at WAPE and WJBT/Jacksonville, FL, as well as KZZP/Phoenix.
