June! How can it be June?! Here we are at the half-way point of the year, and we’re heading into summer with the busiest release schedule that anyone can remember. Hold on tight; we hear that schedule is not likely to slow down any time in the near future… Glassnote’s Nick Petropoulos continues to stack up the majors with Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” making the Top 10 Most Added column for the third week in a row, scoring new airplay from WODS, WXKS, Y100 and WKQI. It’s also #2 at Shazam in the U.S. and has Top 10 iTunes sales. Look for this one to join the chart this week… Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild and Farag continue to add major market call letters on Iggy Azalea f/Anitta’s “Switch,” with 40+ adds coming in on impact, including KIIS, WBMP, KHKS and WBLI. WRNW’s Brett Andrews says, “The combination of pop, swag and rhythm is unbelievable! Iggy is at her best with ‘Switch.’ Red light, yellow light, green light, smash!” Also scoring major market airplay is Logic f/Alessia Cara & Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255.” With a #1 album debut in his pocket and 60+ stations on board already, this one is chartbound… Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan have Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” approaching Top 10 on the Mediabase chart, and the track continues to be in the Top 10 at iTunes, where the album is Top 5. James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” is heading Top 5 and was a Top 10 Greatest Gainer again this week. It’s also been Top 5 at Shazam for over three months. Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean & Migos’ “Slide” is now Top 10 MB, Top 5 U.S. Shazam and Top 10 Global Shazam. Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human” is set to join the Top 30 with the help of big spin increases, including WWWQ, WNOH, WQEN and WDZHCaroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman have charted Hey Violet’s “Break My Heart.” With 120+ stations spinning the track, new adds this week include Z100, WFLC and WDOD. This one’s ready to move up the chart… Epic’s Team Glassman has two songs that were up over 1500 spins this week: DJ Khaled f/Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne’s “I’m the One” (We the Best), which was up 1600+ spins and moves to #8 this week, and Camila Cabello’s “Crying in the Club,” which impacted last week and debuted at #31, up over 1500+ spins. Both are on fire… RECORDS John Strazza has Noah Cyrus’ “ Stay Together” heading toward the chart with 80+ stations on board, including Sirius HITS 1, WRVW, WDZH and KCHZRCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper launched Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” and already have 175+ stations on board. It’s gone Top 25 in just three weeks. Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa’s “Scared to Be Lonely” is set to join the Top 20; big spin leaders include KRBE, Music Choice and WPLW. Kygo f/Ellie Goulding’s “First Time” impacted last week and was in the Top 10 Most Added column, pulling in airplay from KEFY, KALV and KDWB. Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand) is heading toward the chart with help from WODS, KAMP and WXSS and 50+ others after just two weeks… S-Curve’s David Nathan continues to pull in stations and move AJR’s “Weak” up the chart. New airplay this week comes from WFLC, WNCI and WBHT, as it moves up inside the Top 30… Warner Bros. Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih have Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” (Beluga Heights) in the Top 20 and are just about to close out the panel; airplay leaders include WBMP, WODS and KLIF. Dua Lipa’s “Be the One” has charted and is on 115+ stations including WKSS, WWWQ and KDISHollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis launched Shawn Hook f/Vanessa Hudgens’ “Reminding Me,” scoring 15 new adds as they march toward the chart… Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell have charted Liam Payne f/Quavo’s “Strip that Down,” pulling in 140+ stations in two weeks. They have also cleared the panel on Julia Michaels’ “Issues,” as it heads Top 5. That one’s Top 10 on iTunes and Shazam. One of the hottest songs on the chart is Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee f/Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam), which was the week’s Greatest Gainer and joins the Top 10. Drake’s “PassionFruit” (YMCMB) is now Top 15 MB, Top 15 Spotify and Top 25 U.S. Shazam. Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” (Island) also joins the Top 15. Post Malone f/Quavo’s “Congratulations” has charted with 90+ stations on board. There’s Top 15 iTunes sales, and it’s #7 at U.S. Shazam. Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls” is set to join the chart, pulling in major market airplay from HITS 1, WKSC and KLIF… Capitol’s Marella, Rainey and Siciliano have edged Halsey’s “Now or Never” (Astralwerks) closer to Top 10 this week. They’ve cleared the panel, and the early callout on this one is strong. They also have Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” joining the Top 25 this week. It’s a Top 5 pop record according to BuzzAngle, while #5 on iTunes U.S. and #1 in 44 countries on iTunes. Katy Perry f/Nicki Minaj’s “Swish Swish” impacted and debuted at #38 with 70+ stations on board, including KIIS, Z100, KAMP and WBBM. Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” (MCA Nashville) moves closer to Top 30 this week, and we hear there’s some killer callout on this one. Jon Bellion’s “Overwhelming” is heading toward the chart with airplay from WIOQ, WXKS, WZFT and WNOW
