The next few weeks are going to be filled with major artists’ releases just in time for those holiday purchases. This is going to make it very interesting for programmers, who’ll try to get everything on the air and into rotation as national platforms continue to eat up spins and dominate the charts… Hang on tight; we’re on that downhill slide of 2015!

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan dropped the new track from Adele, “Hello” (XL), which skyrocketed to #1 in 80+ territories. The smash is currently sitting at #33 on the chart and is the #1 single at iTunes, while the album, in pre-order, is also #1 at iTunes, It’s worth noting that the video has already garnered 150m+ views. One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” (SYCO) moves to #6, just as their next single “Perfect“ debuts on the chart. Calvin Harris & Disciples’ “How Deep Is Your Love” moves to #16 and continues to climb toward the top of the chart. The Chainsmokers f/Rozes’ “Roses” pulled in new adds last week from KDIS, WBLI and WKSE. Coleman Hell’s “2 Heads” impacted last week with eight adds, including KNOU, WPXY and WKRZ. OMI’s “Hula Hoop” (Ultra) moves up to #38 in its third week on the chart; new airplay includes KKMG, KWNW and WNOW. Rachel Platten’s “Stand by You” is approaching 30 stations and is chartbound.


Def Jam
’s Sackheim, Rothschild & Farag also launched a big one last week with the second single from Justin Bieber’s 11/13 release, Purpose; the track, titled “Sorry,” has already charted and climbed to #34. Look for this one to clear the panel this week. Alessia Cara’s “Here” climbs inside the Top 15 and is one of this week’s Greatest Gainers.


Epic
’s Team Glassman is enjoying a kiss from the callout gods, as they drive Meghan Trainor f/John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” toward Top 15. Meghan also earned three AMA noms, including one for Artist of the Year. Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” is looking to chart, puling in big adds at KDIS, KUDD and WWHT. Lipstick Gypsy’s “The Cure” impacted last week and was one of the Most Added, posting 13 adds.

Artbeatz/RED’s Buch, Halpern & Weil continue to grow Daya’s “Hideaway.” With Cumulus coming on board this week, it looks to be headed Top 20 as the sales, Shazam and stream numbers continue to rise. Halpern and Weil also have Shaggy f/Pitbull’s “Only Love” ready to make its chart debut; spin leaders include Venus, WZMP and WHQC.

Crush Music
’s Olesen pulled in six new airplay markets on Max’s “Gibberish” this week. The track is bubbling just under and looking to chart; airplay leaders include SiriusXM Hits 1, KDIS and WSPK.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih moved Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” (Macklemore) Top 10. That one continues to gain spins with big increases coming in from KTFM, WFBC and KLUC. Nico & Vinz f/Bebe Rexha’s “That’s How You Know,” meanwhile, pulled in KNOU, WQEN and WDJX last week, and is at #38 this week.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio, Cooper & Strazza celebrate having the #1 album in the country with Pentatonix, just as single “Can’t Sleep Love” gets ready to chart. “Love” is selling and Shazam’ng, and early research has some very positive scores. Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s” moves Top 15, pulling in KYLD, KDWB and KKHH last week; it also has Top 10 Mediabase Callout Potential and is Net Positive. Sia’s “Alive” (Monkey Puzzle) keeps pulling in major markets; WKSC, KHTS and B97 all came in last week, adding to the list of 70+ Pop stations already on board. There’s major market instant reaction on Nicky Jam & Enrique Iglesias’ “El Perdon (Forgiveness),” as it moves Top 30 this week. Chris Brown’s “Zero” was one of the Most Added last week at Pop, snagging adds at KIIS, WBMP and WKQI.

Capitol
’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood & Siciliano have jumped 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Hey Everybody!” up inside the Top 30 after just two weeks. Audien f/Lady A’s “Something Better” pulled in the power of Hits 1 last week, along with seven other stations as it gets set to move Top 30. Halsey’s “New Americana” (Astralwerks) pulled in 19 new airplay markets and has charted. There’s also a new track from Tori Kelly coming 11/2.

Pentatonix with Mark Adams and Travis Loughran from KIOI and KYLD

Republic’s CW, Spangler & Russell have another #1 this week with Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” (Big Machine). That marks the fifth from 1989; not a bad string of hits for Ms. Swift. Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” (Island) just keeps climbing and piling on the spins, based on some terrific callout numbers. Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (YMCMB) is this week’s Greatest Gainer and moves #13-8. Thanks to Republic’s joint venture with Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis, Demi Lovato’s “Confident” (Safehouse/Island/Hollywood) moves Top 20 this week and shows no sign of slowing down. DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean” takes a big jump up inside the Top 30 after pulling in 30 new stations last week. Both Tove Lo’s “Moments” (Island) and Fall Out Boy f/Demi Lovato’s “Irresistible” (DCD2/Island) are bubbling just under and looking to chart after big early add weeks.
