A few key things have got people chatting around the water coolers this morning. For one, there was that huge crowd at Lollapalooza this weekend and the scary storm that forced them to evacuate. There’s also HBO’s new show, Ballers. Meanwhile, all of our favorite football teams have reported to training camps, and speculation is bubbling over what will be released in Q4.

Another topic of conversation surrounds the new #1 at Pop, OMI’s “Cheerleader” (Ultra/Columbia). Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan have definitely turned up the heat over the past few weeks. Rachel Platten’s anthemic “Fight Song” just moved Top 10 as both Calvin Harris & Disciples’ “How Deep Is Your Love” and Little Mix’s “Black Magic” (SYCO) come on the chart. Oh, and then there’s One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” (SYCO), which is new this week; I’m going to really climb out on a limb here and say it’ll be this week’s Most Added. While the label seems to have their hands full, everything is moving in the right “direction.”

Capitol’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano have three tracks moving up the chart inside the Top 20 with Tori Kelly’s “Should’ve Been Us,” which is almost ready to move Top 15, Silento’s “Watch Me” and 5 Seconds of Summer’s fast-moving “She’s Kinda Hot.” Sam Smith’s “Like I Can” got big spin increases this week from SiriusXM’s Hits 1, WXXL and WFLZ, and Disclosure f/Sam Smith’s “Omen” is set for impact next week.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio, Cooper and Strazza have moved R City f/Adam Levine’s “Locked Away” into the Top 30. The track was this week’s #3 Greatest Gainer; it was #3 Most Added last week with 31 new adds, including SiriusXM’s Hits 1, KIIS, WBLI and B96. Prince Royce f/Pitbull & Jennifer Lopez’s “Back It Up” is looking to chart and is already on over 65 Pop stations with more than 100k singles sold.

Epic’s Team Glassman is on fire with the new track from A Great Big World, “Hold Each Other” (Black Magnetic). It was #2 Most Added last week and looks like it will be back at the top of the add board this week as well; majors already on board include Z100, WIOQ, KKRZ and KHTS. Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink’s “Worth It,” which you can hear on your television almost as much as your radio, moved to #4 this week. Jidenna’s “Classic Man” (Wondaland) moved up to # 32, pulling in WDZH, WRVQ and KHTT. Meghan Trainor f/John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” is the #14 best-selling Pop single in the country and it’s looking to chart this week.

Global Entertainment’s Team Palmese have Nathan Sykes’ “Kiss Me Quick” ready to chart; it pulled in some great majors last week with Z100, WIOQ, WNKS and KYLD.

Artbeatz/Red’s Buch, Halpern and Weil have Daya’s “Hide Away” bubbling just under and ready to move on the chart; KZON, KTFM, KHTS and WPLW have all come on board with big support. Airplay markets have immediate Spotify and Shazam numbers posting on this one.

Things are really heating up over at Def Jam for Sackheim, Rothchild & Farag. Alessia Cara’s “Here” charted this week and has over 85 stations on board, with majors like Z100, WZFT, WZPL, WIHT and WMVQ all coming in early. Afrojack’s “SummerThing!” is also off the races, moving to #35 this week, with new adds already on the board from WZFT, KSME and XHTO. Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s “Sun Is Shining” is off to a great start, pulling in Y100, KYLD, KKRZ and KDND.

Warner Bros.
Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih have four tracks moving up the chart. Jason Derulo’s “Cheyenne” (Beluga Heights) joins the Top 25 this week. Both Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” and Nico & Vinz f/Bebe Rexha’s “That’s How You Know” were in the Most Added column last week. Meanwhile, Kaya Stewart’s “In Love With a Boy,” which shattered the Most Added record for a new artist, is ready to join the Top 30.

Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell are still firing on all cylinders and looking to claim #1 again with The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face” (XO), which is currently sitting at #2 ready to pounce. Based on callout numbers from the last few weeks, Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” (DCD2/Island) has moved Top 15. And speaking of callout, Shawn Mendes should make a big jump this week thanks to the callout that’s posting on his latest single, “Stitches.” Both Sage the Gemini f/Nick Jonas’ “Good Thing” and Natalie La Rose f/Fetty Wap’s “Around the World” moved Top 35 this week.

Republic’s combined effort with Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis has Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” (Safehouse) ready to make the jump to Top 10 in just five short weeks; it’s currently sitting at #11. The boys at Hollywood also have Bea Miller’s “Fire N Gold” (SYCO), which is bubbling just under and looking to chart. Miller’s album recently dropped, hit #1 on iTunes and debuted at the top of every chart out there.

MUSIC WE LOVE: A Great Big World f/ Futuristic’s “Hold Each Other” (Black Magnetic/Epic), Austin Mahone’s “Dirty Work” (Chase/Cash Money)
