COUNTRY'S NEWEST DISRUPTOR
Three chords and some truth you may not be ready for.
AI IS ALREADY EATING YOUR LUNCH
The kids can tell the difference... for now.
WHO'S BUYING THE DRINKS?
That's what we'd like to know.

Whether you’re wearing a Derby hat this weekend or mud boots at Jazz Fest, you're definitely in for some terrific live music. The Kentucky Derby has gone from being known as “The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports” to an entire week of music and fun in Louisville. And this second week of Jazz Fest has a terrific lineup that runs the gamut from the Rebirth Jazz Band to Jerry Lee Lewis to Anthony Hamilton to No Doubt to T.I. There's something for all! See ya in Nawlins, wearing my Derby hat.
Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell continue with their stronghold on the Top 10, and it looks like they’re not planning on letting go any time soon, as Nick Jonas’ “Chains” (Island) moves up this week. Look for Nicki Minaj’s “The Night Is Still Young” (YMCMB) to be Most Added this week with Z100, WWPW, AMPLA and a ton of other majors already on the board early. The Weeknd’s “Earned It” (XO), consistently the Greatest Gainer, moves up to #3. Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” (Island) is now Top 15 and has big potential numbers, posting in callout in a ton of markets. Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” (DCD2/Island) launched last week with 60+ stations and is already showing big sales-to-airplay numbers.
Capitol’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano are launching BANKS’ “Beggin for Thread” (Harvest) this week and have Ne-Yo’s “Coming With You” (Motown) on over 70+ stations, including Z100, WURV-F2 and Venus. Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” continues to climb the chart and is currently #18. Pictured right, Joe Rainey shows you how to get things done, sharing WMKS PD Keith Allen's lap with artist Eden XO.
Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have moved Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” (S-Curve) into the Top 30. It was the #15 Most Shazam’d song in the U.S. last week. Andy will be performing it on DWTS 4/27 and that should boost some already strong sales numbers. R5’s “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight” has charted and is on 75+ stations. Bassist and vocalist Riker Lynch has been killing it on DWTS and their fanbase is growing weekly. Also look for the launch of Bea Miller’s “Fire N Gold” this week.
RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Strazza, Daddio and Cooper have Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” eying the top of the chart as they continue to see great callout, social media growth and sales numbers on the track. Sia’s “Elastic Heart” (Monkey Puzzle) picked up KTU, KEGY and WRVW last week and moved up to #35. Martin Garrix f/Usher’s “Don’t Look Down” picked up 10 new stations, including KHKS, WIHT and Y100. Pitbull f/Chris Brown’s “Fun” picked up 40+ stations out of the box and should be in the Most Added column again this week.
Warner Bros.’ Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih have Jason Derulo’s ”Want to Want Me” (Beluga Heights) moving up to #6. Derulo’s track was also one of this week’s Greatest Gainers. Echosmith’s “Bright” is poised to jump Top 20 and should get some big increases this week based on callout numbers. Jake Miller continues to climb with new help from WIOQ, WKCI and KMVQ.
Epic’s Team Glassman moves Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” toward the Top 15 as the album crosses over the 2m mark at iTunes. Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink’s “Worth It” (SYCO) moves up to #21 as they announce their national summer tour. And they just placed the new one from Mariah Carey, “Infinity,” on everyone’s desk for next week’s impact.
RAL’s Weil and Halpern have Shaggy f/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi’s “I Need Your Love” sitting at #31. With the momentum, they should move Top 30 next week. Sales are up 40% this week, after last week’s performance on Fallon, and new stations include WXXL, WKST and WBMP.
Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan impacted Marlon Roudette’s “When The Beat Drops Out” last week; among the adds were WBLI, WFLC and WAPE. Z100 is on the board for this week already, and it looks chartbound. George Ezra’s “Budapest” moves up to #25 this week with airplay from WIHT, KMVQ and WHTS. Meanwhile, Dillion Francis f/DJ Snake’s “Get Low” looks to be chartbound.
Def Jam’s Sackheim, Chester, Rothchild and Farag launched Rihanna’s “American Oxygen” last week with over 40 stations. This week, they pick up Cumulus and Premium Choice, so it’s clear that this one is on the move upward. Also launching last week with 20+ stations was Jeremih’s “Tonight Belongs to U”; new adds include WDZH, WJHM and WEZB.
