Well, Coachella ended without any more kissing incidents, but there were some great performances over the weekend. I hear there was a bit of early celebration for the unofficial National Holiday, you know, 4/20. Hello, anybody out there? Are you listening? Did you doze off, or are you just staring into space? I’ve been trying to reach the west coast office all day and can’t get a reply!

Things over at Epic are about to really get rolling. (See what I did there?) Team Glassman is preparing for the launch of Mariah Carey’s latest, “Infinity”; official impact date is 5/4, but it should be on everyone’s desk early next week. Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” is headed Top 15 and Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink’s “Worth It” (SYCO) is knocking on the Top 20 door.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Chester, Rothchild and Farag have two big tracks dropping this week with Jeremih’s “Tonight Belongs to U”; early adds include WKQI, KHTS and WIOQ. PD Jared Fallon (pictured right) says, ”The first official hit of the summer is here. If you don't get this song on the first listen you may want to look into another profession.” Also launching is Rihanna’s “American Oxygen” (Roc Nation), whose early adds are WBLI, WRQX and WODS. Alesso was the “Most Instagram’d Artist” at Coachella this weekend, according to Mashable. His new single, “Cool,” kicked off with over 60 stations and is already about to chart.

Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell have their stamp firmly on the Top 10 this week. Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” is #1, Natalie La Rose f/Jeremih’s “Somebody”(IMG) is #3, Taylor Swift’s “Style” is #4 (Big Machine), The Weeknd’s “Earned It” is #5 and Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” is #7. Nick Jonas is also #11 with “Chains” (Island). Last week’s launch of Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” (DCD2/Island) pulled in 50+ stations and a Most Added nod. Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” (Island) has Top 10 Callout in both RateTheMusic and Mediabase, and it’s sitting at #15, so it should be off to the races.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih continue in the Greatest Gainer column with Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” and are now sitting at #8. With the new callout numbers posting on Echosmith’s “Bright,” you can watch it start to climb. Jake Miller f/Travie McCoy’s “Dazed and Confused” is off to a great start with 50+ stations and big increases this week from WBMP and WNKS.

RCA
’s Riccitelli, JR, Strazza, Daddio and Cooper have sales, callout and Greatest Gainer airplay on Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” and are Top 10 bound. Sia’s “Elastic Heart” (Monkey Puzzle) charted this week and picked up KZZP, KHTZ and WHBQ. Martin Garrix f/Usher’s “Don’t Look Down” is on 50+ stations and just picked up Z100, KYLD and KTFM to name a few. Expect big Impact this week with Pitbull f/Chris Brown’s “Fun”; WFLC, KMVQ, KHTS and KBFF are already on the board.

Performers Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day Rally in DC included No Doubt, Usher, Fall Out Boy, Mary J Blige, Train and others. Seen having a great time drinking boxed water is newly minted WIHT MD Elizabethany, RCA Sr. Director Top 40 Promotion Joe Daddio, WB DC promo stud Dave Ravikoff and WIHT PD Tommy Chuck. Not pictured is WIHT APD Toby Knapp who served as the “Voice of God” for the prestigious event, nailing the pronunciation of world leaders yet struggled with "will.i.am."

RAL’s Weil and Halpern continue to grow Shaggy f/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi’s “I Need Your Love” and have some nice callout coming in from early major markets as the record moves to #35.

Hollywood’s Finck and Smith charted R5’s “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight” this week. Meanwhile, Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” moves to #32 with new airplay from KZHT, WNTQ and KJYO.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan are impacting Marlon Roudette’s “When the Beat Drops Out” this week and already have a huge list of majors on board early, including SiriusXM Hits 1, KHKS and KTU. LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills” is poised to move Top 25, and George Ezra’s “Budpest” joined the Top 30 this week. Watch for the launch of Olly Murs f/Demi Lovato’s “Up” next week.

Capitol’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano pulled in 30+ stations on impact with Ne-Yo’s “Coming With You” (Motown). FYI, when your first week stations include Z100, KIIS and WXKS, it’s easy to say you’re off to a great start. Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love and Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” increased their chart positions inside the Top 20 this week.

MUSIC WE LOVE: Jessie J’s “Flashlight” from Pitch Perfect 2, Nicki Minaj’s “The Night Is Still Young.”
