A QUICK SPOT CHECK

March 22, 2025

Before you start to bore your loved ones with complaints about your March Madness brackets, here are some late-breaking DSP developments to ponder:

  • The two new tracks by Big Loud/Mercury/Republic's Morgan Wallen have quickly landed in the Top 10 of Spotify U.S., with "I'm a Little Crazy" at #7, followed by "Just in Case" at #8. News of his 5/16 album, I'm the Problem, has also lifted the title track to #22 and "Love Somebody" to #31. Meanwhile, Morgan has four songs in the Apple Music Top 10. The Year of the Wallen is just getting started.
  • j-hope's "Mona Lisa" (BIGHIT) sees a monster debut on Spotify global, coming in at #12, while "Sweet Dreams" f/Miguel sits at #39.
  • Generation Now/Atlantic's Jack Harlow has a new banger featuring Doja Cat, "Just Us," that debuts at #21 on the Spot U.S.
  • Interscope's Selena Gomez and benny blanco (Ganco? Blomez?) land three new songs on Spotify's U.S. Top 100 from their adorably titled joint album, I Said I Love You First, led by "Younger and Hotter Than Me" (co-written and co-produced with FINNEAS), at #55.
  • Nashville Harbor/BMLG's Riley Green, getting ready to launch his Damn Country Music Tour, is enjoying his weekend as "Worst Way" climbs to #79 on the Spot U.S.
  • Warner's Sombr has a grower with the alt-pop "Back to Friends," now at #114 on Spotify's domestic list.
  • Finally, Benson Boone's latest, "Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else" (Night Street/Warner), moves up to #124 U.S. The unstoppable "Beautiful Things" climbs back to #32.

There will undoubtedly be more of this sort of thing to monitor, and you can count on us to stay on top of it. As soon as they call a time-out.
