MTV EMA noms

FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Put on your artiest pair of glasses, button that top button and pour yourself an espresso, because its time to get European. Specifically, it's time to review the major-category nominations for the MTV European Music Awards. Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the pack with five nods each; Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Robin Thicke each earned four; One Direction is up for three; and Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bastille and Calvin Harris are among those with two nods. Timberlake is a contender for Best Male Artist, Best Live and Best Look, among other categories. Thirty Seconds to Mars is up for Best Alternative act and got a Best Video nod for "Up in the Air." None other than Ron Burgundy announced the nominees today. The awards show goes down in Amsterdam on 11/10. See a list of noms here. (9/17p)
