LADY GAGA BRINGS "HOLD MY HAND" TO NOLA'S FRENCH QUARTER
Lady Gaga was in New Orleans Sunday (2/9) to honor first responders prior to Super Bowl LIX, performing her 2022 ballad "Hold My Hand."
From the French Quarter, Tom Brady, donning an LAFD T-shirt, and Michael Strahan, in a "NOLA Strong" tee, acknowledged those affected by the deadly New Year's Day Bourbon Street terror attack and L.A. County wildfires.
Resplendent in white, the Interscope superstar then soared through "Hold My Hand," accompanying herself on grand piano. She was joined by an angelic choir and backup band dressed all in black, adding sonic (and visual) depth to her moving rendition of the song, the lead single to the soundtrack to Top Gun: Maverick.
Gaga was among the many artists who performed 1/30 at FireAid, which she followed up 2/2 with a tender take on "California Dreamin'" alongside "Die With a Smile" collaborator Bruno Mars at the 67th Grammy Awards. "Abracadabra," the current single from Gaga's MAYHEM, due 3/7, is #2 on Spotify U.S. and Top 5 on the Spot's global list.
