Grammy deadlines

GRAMMY DEADLINES: The Recording Academy says it received nearly 13k submissions next February’s Grammys during the first-round entry period, 7/1-7/23. The second (and final) round is now open to registered media companies and Recording Academy members, and will close on 8/ 27 at 6pm PT; the eligibility period end on 9/30. Last year, a record 22k-plus submissions were entered for consideration in the awards process. The last day for qualified voting members to join the Academy and receive the first ballot is 9/15; the first ballot to determine nominations goes out to voting members on 10/15, with ballots due back on 11/5; and the last day for qualified voting members to join and receive the final ballot is 11/15.
