The six founding members of Proximity will bring their individual talents and expertise to supervise each project from development to release, including out-of-the-box marketing activations and companion projects, across film, television, music and podcasts.

The Cooglers and Ohanian will oversee all of Proximity’s operations; Göransson will serve as principal music executive; Davis will oversee marketing, soundtrack and podcast production; and Nicks will spearhead the Non-Fiction division of the company and direct select projects.

“It is my honor to work with such distinguished creatives that I get to call my team. The collective vision of Proximity and its potential is a responsibility that I take with honor. Ryan, Zinzi, Sev, Ludwig and Peter, thank you so much for inviting me on this journey with you all. To create with purpose alongside people you trust is a gift I cherish everyday,” said Davis.

Proximity has entered into a five-year overall exclusive television deal with The Walt Disney Company, one of which will include a new Marvel Studios series based in BLACK PANTHER’s Kingdom of Wakanda for Disney+.

Upcoming Proximity projects include WarnerMedia's SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY, the sequel to the hit 1996 film; the film adaptation of graphic novel series BITTER ROOT; CREED 3, starring and to be directed by Michael B. Jordan; and WRONG ANSWER, written by Ta Nehisi Coates.

Proximity's first film, Judas and the Black Messiah, is up for six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. The soundtrack earned nearly 50m worldwide streams in its opening week and debuted at #12 on the HITS Top 50.
