A "PRELUDE" TO "SOMETHING": HERE COMES MILEY

Columbia's Miley Cyrus has given us a preliminary taste of her new album, Something Beautiful, due on 5/30.

Early this morning, the Crush-managed pop superstar delivered "Prelude," a spoken-word nugget that sets a dreamy, luxuriant tone; the video (viewable below) showcases Something's fashion-forward cover art, which finds Miley rocking vintage Thierry Mugler couture. The clip was helmed by Belgian cinematographer Benoît Debie.

A couple of hours later, Miley delivered the R&B/rock-inflected title track, accompanied by another visually stunning clip, this one jointly directed by Miley, Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter. That appears below as well.

Then came the day's third (and, we think, final) blast: the teaser for forthcoming single "End of the World," due on 4/3. You know the drill.

For those updating their scorecards, Miley's 2023 set, Endless Summer Vacation, bowed in the Top 5 with 103k. Its monster single (and Grammy Record of the Year) "Flowers," has amassed nearly 2.5b streams worldwide on Spotify alone.
