THE MORGAN, THE MERRIER: NEW, 37-SONG WALLEN ALBUM DUE 5/16

March 20, 2025

Morgan Wallen's new album finally has a release date. The country superstar's I'm the Problem will arrive 5/16 on Big Loud/Mercury/Republic, the same day his Sand in My Boots festival descends on Gulf Shores, Alabama.

I'm the Problem, which contains a whopping 37 tracks, is the follow-up to 2023's multiple-chart-topping One Thing at a Time. As we previously reported, Wallen will perform new songs during a 3/29 appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Two new tunes from the LP were released on 3/21: "Just in Case" (penned by Wallen, John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass and Alex Bak) and "I'm a Little Crazy" (written by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers). Joey Moi produced both cuts, with the amazingly named Charlie Handsome (actually Vojtesak, but he still gets points) co-producing "Just in Case."

Wallen is said to have spent almost a year working on the material at his Nashville-area farm. “I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” said the artist, who pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment in December after throwing a chair off the roof of a Nashville bar. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”

His tour in support of I'm the Problem will begin 6/20 in Houston with guests Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson.
