ED SHEERAN TEASES UPCOMING ALBUM WITH "AZIZAM" SNIPPET

Ed Sheeran is evidently ecstatic about his forthcoming album, Play, the follow-up to 2023's Autumn Variations (Gingerbread Man Records). On Thursday (3/20) the English singer-songwriter shared a snippet of lead single "Azizam" on Instagram. In the clip, he bounces around the studio with unbridled enthusiasm as the up-tempo track sounds in the background. The word "azizam" is Persian for "my dear." And yes, we had to Google that.

Autumn Variations peaked at #4. It followed − (Subtract), which was issued the same year via Asylum/Atlantic. That project landed at #2 with roughly 112k units moved in its opening week.

There's no Instagram clip to commemorate it, but we were as jubilant as Ed in the studio when Postmates finally arrived.
