SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE TURNS TENPENNY INTO PLATINUM

Mitchell Tenpenny was presented with new RIAA certification plaques on Saturday night (4/11) for his debut single, "Drunk Me" (4x-platinum), and "We Got History" (platinum). The celebration took place just ahead of his performance at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena as part of Kane Brown’s High Road Tour.

Tenpenny's latest single, “Same Moon,” debuted at country radio last week. Written by Mitchell, Paul DiGiovanni, Derrick Southerland and Dallas Wilson, the song comes from his fifth album, The 3rd (Riser House/Columbia Nashville), which arrived last fall.

Since the release of "Drunk Me," Tenpenny has amassed more than 2.3b global streams. Other #1 singles include “Truth About You” and “At the End of a Bar” f/Chris Young. Above is a photo of Tenpenny beyond relieved nobody from HITS was allowed backstage.
