KESHA, SCISSOR SISTERS TOUR: IT'S THE TITS
Kesha and the reunited Scissor Sisters will apparently leave little to the imagination on their Tits Out Tour, which will motorboat its way across North American arenas and amphitheaters from 7/1 in West Valley City, Utah, through 8/10 in Tampa, Florida.
The outing is produced by Live Nation in partnership with Feeld, "a dating app for the curious," and includes Crush-managed Kesha's first shows at Kia Forum (7/5) and Madison Square Garden (7/23).
Scissor Sisters are touring for the first time since 2012, although founding member Ana Matronic is not participating due to scheduling conflicts. The Jake Shears-led group will join Kesha for a U.K./Ireland run through May.
Slayyter and Rose Gray will, um, support. Presale tickets will be available 4/8, with any available inventory going on sale to the general public two days later.
“The most political thing we can do right now is love. Love ourselves and love each other,” opined Kesha, who will celebrate the tour announcement with a Boiler Room set tonight (4/3) in Miami. “Americans need to have more safe, consensual sex. Our administration is so disembodied and disconnected. I’m going TITS OUT this summer to bring as much safety, fun, acceptance, love, connection and celebration to this country as I can because we are just as much the fabric of this FREE nation as anyone else."
The artist is hoping to foster an environment in which "sexually liberated" fans will have a space "to meet, connect and dance." Those who are "single, horny and down to flirt" are encouraged to wear red to the shows, where Kesha will be "looking for a sugar daddy." "If you bring a tall, hot, single friend," she said, "you get extra animal points."
Our cups runneth over.
