ICE CUBE "POWERS" UP FOR RARE TOUR
Ice Cube has parlayed his success in music into a massively lucrative career in Hollywood, so you couldn't blame him for not having staged a proper North American tour in a decade.
That will change this fall when he sets out on his Live Nation-promoted Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude outing, which will visit 22 arenas, beginning 9/4 at New York's Barclays Center.
“Truth to Power is more than a tour—it’s a 40-year celebration,” said the artist, who's booked by Brent Smith at Wasserman Music. “The world needs truth. The people need power. And that’s what my music brings. It’s gonna be next-level to go from city to city with a major production unlike anything I’ve ever done before.”
Cube, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for his work with N.W.A, is managed by longtime consigliere Jeff Kwatinetz. The latter's former partner at The Firm, Peter Katsis, was back by his side to help put together the tour.
