U.K. MIDWEEKS: ALEX AGAIN?

March 24, 2025

Alex Warren says howdy.

Alex Warren has his sights on a second week at #1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart with “Ordinary” (Atlantic), while on Albums, The Lottery Winners and Deacon Blue are slugging it out for the top position.

Warren is facing strong competition, with Doechii’s “Anxiety” (Capitol) rising 3-2 as Island’s Chappell Roan falls 2-4 with “The Giver” and inches up 4-3 with “Pink Pony Club.”

BTSj-hope could land his first U.K. Top 10 solo hit with “MONA LISA” (BIGHIT), at #8. Warren is also on the move in the Top 20, with “Carry You Home” at #15.

On Albums, indie quartet The Lottery Winners’ KOKO (Modern Sky) is ahead of Scottish outfit Deacon Blue’s The Great Western Road (Cooking Vinyl) by just over 2,000 chart units. The Winners topped the tally with 2023’s Anxiety Replacement Theory.

Selena Gomez and benny blanco’s I Said I Loved You First (Interscope) could debut at #4, which would be Selena's second U.K. Top 10 and benny’s first.

The HorrorsNight Life (Fiction), the band’s first album in eight years, could begin at #5. Japanese Breakfast’s For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women) is on track to open at #21, the Michelle Zauner-led Dead Oceans band’s first U.K. Top 40 entry.

On the classic-rock tip, Jimmy Page & The Black CrowesLive at the Greek (Silver Arrow) could return at #37 thanks to a 25th anniversary reissue. Page topped the Albums chart eight times with Led Zeppelin.
