U.K. CHARTS: THE LOTTERY WINNERS, ALEX WARREN RULE
No blazers were harmed during this The Lottery Winners photo shoot.
The Lottery Winners land their second #1 on the Official U.K. Album Chart with KOKO (Modern Sky), while Alex Warren spends a second frame atop the Singles tally with “Ordinary” (Atlantic).
“Go back in time and tell 12-year-old us that we’d have two #1 albums — it’s amazing,” said the Leigh, U.K.-based group, which also sees KOKO crown the Vinyl Albums and Record Store charts. “This is for grassroots music. This is for the working class. This is for Leigh. This is for anybody who has a dream—go out there and get it. Make it happen!”
Scottish indie act Deacon Blue debuts at #3 with The Great Western Road (Cooking Vinyl), while Selena Gomez and benny blanco’s I Said I Love You First (Interscope) is right behind at #4.
Last week’s #1, Playboi Carti’s MUSIC (Interscope), falls to #7. Warren’s 2024 project You’ll Be Alright Kid (Chapter 1) zooms 11 places to a new peak at #30.
On Singles, “Ordinary” is the most-streamed track in the U.K. with 7m combined plays and is clearly impacting the rest of Warren’s catalog. “Carry Home” jumps 20-10 to reach the top 10 for the first time, while “Burning Down” climbs five spots to a new peak of #23.
Drake’s “NOKIA” (Republic/OVO/Santa Anna) rises 19-12 and WizTheMC and Bees & Honey’s “Show Me Love” (Bamboo Artists) rockets 38-14. Leon Thomas accrues his first U.K. hit with “MUTT” (UMG) at #26.
