HEAR, HEAR: SWEET RELIEF & SWEETWATER LAUNCH NEW FUND

The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and musical-instrument/audio-equipment retailer Sweetwater have launched The Hearing Health Fund at Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Roughly 40% of musicians and others working in the industry have experienced some level of hearing loss due to repeated exposure to noise.

Noted Dr. Todd Page, Sweetwater’s in-house family physician, "Screening is essential to protecting musicians from hearing loss because once the damage is done, there’s no going back to 'normal.'"

The Hearing Health Fund provides free hearing screenings and Etymotic Research ER-20XS High Fidelity Earplugs. Other benefits include: recommendations based on the results of the screening, education about hearing health and care for those struggling with hearing loss and hearing disorders.
