SPOTIFY PREMIERES BILLIONS CLUB LIVE WITH THE WEEKND

Spotify registered a milestone today (1/7) with the premiere of Billions Club Live, the first concert film to premiere on the platform. In this case, the film stars The Weekend.

Billions Club Live With The Weeknd: A Concert Film (see below) documents Abel’s Spotify-sponsored invitation-only 12/17 concert at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar (yet another invitation that didn't reach us here at HITS). The featured luminary dipped into his collection of 24 tracks to have reached the 1b stream mark and previewed songs from his muy-anticipated XO/Republic album Hurry Up Tomorrow, which drops on 1/24.

The 45-minute film, produced by OBB Pictures, will be available exclusively on Spotify for its first 48 hours of release.
