BEY TEASES TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT TO COINCIDE WITH HALFTIME SET

Beyoncé enjoyed a huge Christmas Day look with a halftime show during Netflix's first NFL broadcast, marking her return to the stage in her hometown of Houston. She also seized the moment to tease what is rumored to be a tour announcement.

Midway through the Baltimore Ravens faceoff against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium, Queen Bey showcased songs from her Grammy-nominated album COWBOY CARTER. This was her first public performance of tracks from the record, which has earned 11 nods, making her the most-nominated contender going into the 2025 iteration of Music's Biggest Night.

The set will only be available for streaming until 11pm ET, so look alive, though it will re-air as a condensed special later this week.

The show's teaser hinted at a Texas-themed spectacle, and Beyoncé delivered just that. She began on horseback, performing “16 CARRIAGES” before dismounting to sing “BLACKBIIRD,” her reimagining of the Beatles classic. She was joined by country artist/collaborators Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts.

Next, Shaboozey joined Beyoncé for an electrifying duet of “SWEET / HONEY / BUCKIN’,” complete with a full marching band. The momentum built as Post Malone took the stage for his and Bey's joint track, “LEVII’S JEANS.” Texans owner Cal McNair and his wife, Hannah Hartland, strolled onto the field during Bey's performance of “JOLENE.”

Beyoncé concluded her set with the live debut of her ROTY-, SOTY- and Country Song-nominated hit, “TEXAS HOLD 'EM.”

The halftime show was produced by Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment.

Beyoncé appears to be eyeing a 1/9 announcement for a Live Nation-promoted 2025 stadium tour—with tickets expected to go on sale 1/14, per the Instagram post below. We're told that Michael Rapino and Omar Al-joulani have already been fitted for Stetsons. Bey is booked by Rob Light at CAA.

Furthermore, with the NFL audience and Beyoncé's star power converging on the year's biggest holiday, her halftime performance is expected to have record-breaking viewership. The timing raises an important question: Does this appearance rule out a perf at the Grammy Awards? Today's show is generating mucho attention just weeks before the ceremony, thus wonderers are wondering whether Bey will likewise take the Grammy stage or if this Netflix extravaganza will stand as her major televised performance of the season. Stay tuned, sports fans...
