Shaboozey made his Saturday Night Live debut on 12/7, performing his latest single, "Good News," and "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," both from his third album, Where I've Been Isn't Where I'm Going. The Virginia native was accompanied by an eight-piece backing band, which included a violinist and pedal-steel guitarist. By the end of his performance, the American Dogwood/EMPIRE phenom (who's repped by Range) had the crowd belting out "everybody at the bar getting tipsy" with him.
"A Bar Song (Tipsy)" tied Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" as the longest-running #1 song of all time, at 19 weeks on the chart, the most for a song by a solo artist. It's also nominated for Grammy Awards for Song of the Year, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance and earned Shaboozey a Best New Artist nod.
Watch the artist perform "Good News" and "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" on SNL below as we try to escape Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
