Sony Music Publishing has some fancy new digs: offices and a creative hub for songwriters in a century-old Hollywood building updated by studio architects WSDG and design collective RIOS. The facility boasts five dedicated writer studios, six listening rooms, a recording studio and a lounge. The pubbery celebrated the opening of the lavish facility at 1024 N. Orange Drive with a big ol' party on 12/5.
SMP has already completed such developments in Nashville, the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Spain, Colombia, Sweden, South Africa and India.
"Our focus has been on creating environments that nurture the talent, vision and goals of our songwriters and people," said SMP Chairman/CEO Jon Platt. "Our aim was to build a space that supports songwriters every step of the way, welcomes creators and supports their needs. I am exceptionally proud of what we have built as a team.”
