A PASTORAL SCENE

Rising Virgin Music Group star David Kushner wrapped up his three-month tour in support of debut full-length The Dichotomy 11/22 by taking home a triple-platinum cert for his ubiquitous single “Daylight.”

The ALTAR-repped Chicago native, who first grabbed mainstream attention with the 2022 TikTok hit “Miserable Man,” embraced the platform with "Daylight," which was used over 2 million times on the platform and generated thousands of trends, one of which was "You look happier; what happened," which has resulted in 2m video shares featuring people posting a photo of themselves smiling and looking content, then pointing the camera at a partner who's the source of said joy.

That's how everyone pictured here thinks of VMG Co-CEO Nat Pastor. Rumors that Nat baked muffins for the whole company to mark the occasion couldn't be confirmed at press time, but that is totally something he would do.

"Daylight"—which has notched 1b Spotify streams to date—also propelled The Dichotomy to a gold cert via Music Canada.

Kushner's next step is a European tour, which begins at Cirkus in Stockholm on 2/13. Nat is currently studying recipes for lingonberry pancakes.

Pictured before a more extensive photo shoot in a nearby manger are (l-r): ALTAR's Emily Clarke, VMG's Bree Clarke, Nicole Resnikoff , Zack Gershen, Liz Morentin and Pastor, ALTAR's Brent Shows, VMG President, North America/EVP Global Artist Relations Jacqueline Saturn, Kushner and VMG's Ben Friedlander, Matt Sawin, Cindy James and Adam Starr.
