Nigerian artist Flavour has signed a joint deal with Warner Music Africa and Africori, which will see his forthcoming releases distributed through both entities. Under the new deal, Flavour will be able to tap into Warner Music’s global network and utilize its A&R and marketing teams.
Known for his fusion of African rhythm, highlife and contemporary jazz, Flavour is one of the biggest names in African music, having amassed more than 1.1b YouTube views and selling over 5m albums worldwide. Over the course of his two-decade career, he’s performed alongside the likes of Akon, Ciara, French Montana, Lauryn Hill, Rick Ross and Snoop Dog.
"His energy, innovation and unique sound define the appeal that African music enjoys today," Africori CEO Yoel Kenan said. "We look forward to working together in the next stage of his career, continuing to grow his audience and amplify his sound in new places.”
Warner Music Africa Managing Director Temi Adeniji added, "Signing Flavour is a significant milestone in our plans for growth and development and signifies our commitment to empowering world-class artists. It’s artists like Flavour who will continue to shape the future of the African music industry.”
