SHAKIRA ROLLS LUCKY SEVEN IN MEXICO CITY

Shakira has sold out a seventh show at Mexico City's 65k-seat Estadio GNP Seguros, making her the first artist to accomplish that feat.

The dates are part of the Live Nation-promoted Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the Latin American portion of which has already cleared more than 1m tickets.

It will begin 2/11 in Rio De Janeiro and conclude in 3/30 in Mexico City, after which Shakira (WME) heads to North American arenas and stadiums beginning 5/13 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"I started planning this tour with high expectations, knowing that it would be the most important of my career," says Shakira of her first roadwork in seven years. "However, what is happening has exceeded everything I could have imagined. I never thought that on a day like today, I would receive a plaque proclaiming that Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is the tour with the most sold-out shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros. Wow! I am speechless."

HITS, however, is rarely without words, and our hips do lie.
