It’s official: Brady Bedard has been anointed EVP Promotion for Atlantic Music Group.
His new gig follows a 26-year stint at Sony/Columbia, where he worked with tons of giant acts and managed to call every single one “buddy.”
“We’re incredibly fortunate to be able to bring Brady into the Atlantic fold,” reads a quote from Atlantic Music Group CEO Elliot Grainge. “He’s expertly navigated the ever-shifting radio landscape for more than a quarter century, with a passionate devotion to the music and deep relationships across the industry. He’s a tremendous addition as we continue to assemble the best team in the business. And now he can take the annoying calls from those nincompoops at HITS.”
“Having spent my entire career so far at one company, the only other place I could ever imagine working is one with such a rich history of artist development and genre-spanning roster as WMG,” said Bedard. “Atlantic is a legend in the radio-promotion business, and to join the company at this transformational moment is tremendously exciting. I want to thank Elliot for this amazing opportunity.”
Brady is also very excited to finally figure out which one is Zach and which one is Tony.
Twin Cities native Bedard began his career as a college rep for Sony in 1998 before becoming a field marketing rep and then moving into promo for Columbia in 2001. He variously held the titles of director of Pop Promotion, senior director of Promotion and VP of Rock and Alternative Promotion before being named SVP of Pop Promotion in 2018. In honor of his years of service in the sector, he recently received his own FedEx driver’s uniform.
