Rimas' Juan Luis Guerra was the big winner at the 25th annual Latin Grammy Awards—which took place at Kaseya Center in Miami on 11/14—taking home four trophies, including Album of the Year for Radio Güira and Record of the Year with “Mambo 23.” JLG is now tied with Residente for the most Latin Grammy wins ever, with 29 awards.
Jorge Drexler's "Derrumbe" (Sony Latin) won Song of the Year, marking the Uruguayan singer-songwriter's third SOTY victory. Colombian breakout Ela Taubert was named Best New Artist, giving Universal Music Latino back-to-back wins in that category (Joaquina triumphed in 2023). Taubert performed her hit single "Como Paso?" with special guest Joe Jonas during the telecast.
Other top winners include Songwriter and Producer of the Year Edgar Barrera, the most-nominated artist of the evening, and Nathy Peluso, each scoring three trophies during the Latin Grammys' Premiere Ceremony.
