Latin-biz veteran Azucena “Azu” Olvera has been named GM of Walter Kolm’s WK Records.
The native of Mexico City, who’ll also be assisting on the A&R side at WK Entertainment, comes to the organization from SiriusXM and Pandora, where she served as senior director of Latin talent and industry relations. Prior to that role, she worked as marketing manager, U.S. Latin, at The Orchard.
Commenting on her new role, Olvera said, "This is a game-changing opportunity to team up with some of the best in the business. Latin music has an extraordinary power to transcend borders and connect with audiences on a deep level. I look forward to leveraging my experience to elevate the success of our artists and attract new talent.”
Label founder Kolm added, “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Azu to WK Records. Her proven leadership and deep understanding of the Latin music landscape will be invaluable as we continue to grow our roster and elevate Latin talent globally.”
