CHAPPELL ROAN'S SNL DEBUT INCLUDED COUNTRY BANGER

From Beyoncé to Post Malone, country is hot to go, so it's not all that shocking that Chappell Roan used her Saturday Night Live debut to unveil a country song, "The Giver." With a female backing band rocking Western fringe shirts, the Island breakout belted lyrics like "'Cause you ain’t gotta tell me, it’s just in my nature/ So take it like a taker/ 'Cause baby I’m a giver."

Roan also performed the gold-certified "Pink Pony Club" from her 2023 debut, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. For this one, she opted for a more ethereal aesthetic that felt like a pink fever dream.

Roan’s SNL appearance was, in a sense, 13 years in the making. Last week, she posted a screenshot of a Facebook status from April 2011 (as Kayleigh Amstutz, her given name) that read, “I am determined to be on SNL.”

Check out the clips of her SNL debut below (and a guest spot by someone who might be even more famous).
