TikTok has expanded its Add to Music App function—which allows fans to save the songs they discover on the platform to their preferred streaming service—to include Melon, the Korean streaming giant owned by Kakao.
“Since the launch of Add to Music App, we have seen the TikTok community fully embrace the opportunity to save the songs they discover to the music streaming service of their choice,” said TikTok Global Head of Music Partnership Development Michael Kümmerle. “Our new partnership with Melon means that millions more music fans in Korea will be able to save, share and listen again to music they fell in love with on TikTok."
Added Minwoo Han, head of Melon business development at Kakao, “We believe our partnership with TikTok, the leading social-media platform for music discovery, will be incredibly popular with our users and attract even more music fans. As a leading streaming platform, we will continue our efforts to enhance the value of music.”
