Kendrick Lamar was the big winner at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The pgLang/Interscope juggernaut was nominated for 11 trophies and took home eight, including Lyricist of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year. Other wins included Best Hip Hop Video for his chart-topping single "Not Like Us," produced by Mustard, which also earned Song of the Year and Impact Track. Kendrick's verse on Future and Metro Boomin's "Like That" (Boominati/Freebandz/Epic) garnered a win for Best Collaboration.
Megan Thee Stallion, who went into the evening with the most nominations (12), walked away empty-handed. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj picked up the award for Hip Hop Album of the Year for Pink Friday 2 (Republic), The Alchemist was named Producer of the Year, Sexyy Red won Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist and 50 Cent was deemed Hustler of the Year.
The ceremony, recorded 10/8 at Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas, aired Tuesday night (10/15). Hosted by Fat Joe for the third consecutive year, the event featured performances by E-40, GloRilla, 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy and BossMan Dlow, among others.
