ARIANA'S WICKED GOOD SOUNDTRACK OUT 11/22

Republic/Verve is looking to cast a spell over the charts with the soundtrack to the highly anticipated first installment of Wicked, due the same day the Universal film hits theaters, 11/22.

The soundtrack will spotlight the vocals of co-stars Ariana Grande, as Glinda the Good Witch, and Cynthia Erivo (who’s just an Oscar shy of an EGOT) as Elphaba. Click here to pre-order.

The soundtrack will be released in multiple formats, including CD, double vinyl, double picture disc and digitally. Target will have exclusive versions, including split pink and green vinyl and a CD with a fold-out poster. Barnes & Noble will offer a CD with an alternate cover.

November is shaping up to be a big month for Grande, who could end up raking in several nods when Grammy nominations are announced on 11/8. Song of the Year and Record of the Year buzz is building for “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)," and she could also land a nom for her album Eternal Sunshine, which bowed at #1 with 227k equivalent units sold in March.

HITS, meanwhile, is looking for a spell to get us out of this frog suit in time for the Wicked premiere party.
