EMPIRE INAUGURATES "SHE'S WRITE" CAMP

Twenty women from the University of California Berkeley's Golden Records Music Club recently got some higher education as part of EMPIRE's new music camp She's Write. The initiative's goal is to close the gender gap for women in the music industry through educational workshops. At She's Write, which was held at EMPIRE's San Francisco office, attendees got a taste of music production, engineering and DJing, and also met with EMPIRE President Tina Davis to hear about her three-decade career in the biz. Thankfully, HITS was not asked to sing Shaboozey's EMPIRE-distributed "(A Bar Song) Tipsy" out loud.
