TikTok influencer-turned-pop artist Addison Rae is ready to pop. The Columbia artist’s effervescent appeal, which spans socials, fashion, acting and more, is now driving her major-label debut, “Diet Pepsi.” The track has been sparkling on TikTok since its release, but thanks to recent splashy looks on the Sweat Tour with Charli xcx and Troye Sivan—all three performed “Diet Pepsi” at its Madison Square Garden date, creating another viral moment—and Rae’s presence in Paris for Fashion Week, “Diet Pepsi” continues to surge everywhere.
The single is streaming like a soda fountain on Spotify, where it leaped 21 spots on 10/2 to a new global peak of #29. Meanwhile, promo gunslinger Peter Gray and team are closing “Diet Pepsi” at radio, helping it zoom up the Pop chart with major adds like Z100 as it approaches the Top 25. “TikTok, streams, audience, airplay—they’re all snowballing for Addison,” Gray told us. “Now radio is closing the deal. It’s a real hit record that’s connecting on all levels.” Talk about fizz.
