EAGLES FLY ANEW AT SPHERE

The Eagles kicked off their 20-show residency at Sphere in Las Vegas over the weekend, using the venue's next-level visuals to showcase a walk through the Hotel California and various other city, desert and space scenes.

Throughout the 20-song set, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and their fellow Irving Azoff-managed cohorts played such Rock radio mainstays as “One of These Nights,” “New Kid in Town,” “Life’s Been Good,” “The Boys of Summer,” “Take it Easy,” “Desperado” and “Heartache Tonight,” the latter dedicated to the song's recently departed co-writer J.D. Souther.

The Eagles are the fourth band to play Sphere, following U2, Phish and Dead & Company. Henley & Company dates are on tap through 1/25.
