Future has confirmed his upcoming project, Mixtape Pluto, will arrive via Epic on 9/20. The Freebandz boss made the announcement via Instagram on Wednesday (9/11) with the caption: "F*** the publicity I got this out the mud MIXTAPE PLUTO 9-20-24." The post included a snippet of the single "Too Fast" and photos of a vast array of Mixtape Pluto merch.
Future inadvertently kicked off one of the biggest rap beefs in recent memory with his Metro Boomin' collab "Like That" f/Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick's verse lit the spark that ignited the notorious back-and-forth with Drake. The track, taken from Future and Metro's We Don't Trust You album, landed at #1, where it stayed for three weeks, and has been streamed more than 515m times on Spotify alone.
As for his next effort, rumors have it Travis Scott will be among the featured guests. Shortly after Future confirmed the project was indeed on its way, Scott tweeted simply, "MIXTAPE PLUTO," a hint or perhaps just a show of support. Either way, expect the project to have a few surprises. In the meantime, check out the Instagram post below while we try to figure out what planet we're on.
