Eminem will release a deluxe edition of his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Dubbed the "Expanded Mourner’s Edition," the project is scheduled to arrive via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope on Friday (9/13).
The diamond-selling MC made the announcement on Tuesday (9/10) using an Instagram teaser starring veteran producer The Alchemist and soundtracked by Eminem's Jelly Roll collab "Somebody Save Me." In the clip, Eminem storms into a convenience store, grabs a carton of milk and suddenly drops it on the floor after he sees a "missing" poster for Slim Shady on the back of it. Alchemist, who plays the store's cashier, isn't amused.
The caption reads: "MISSING: SLIM SHADY ‼️ Have you seen him? #TheDeathOfSlimShady Expanded Mourner’s Edition drops this Friday the 13th."
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) dropped in July and sold more than 281k units in its inaugural week. It marked Eminem's eleventh #1 and became the second-largest album of the year behind Taylor Swift's THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.
