STEVE BALLMER'S INTUIT DOME IS WHERE IT'S AT

Traffic concerns and opening-day tech hiccups be damned—Los Angeles’ $2b Intuit Dome is a tour de force, which surely did not go unnoticed by those who attended shows during its inaugural week.

The L.A. Clippers' new home, built by team owner and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, will also serve as its training center. It will host the 2026 NBA All Star Game and be used for basketball games at the 2028 Summer Olympics.

On opening night (8/15), starring Bruno Mars, Ballmer was quick to acknowledge the support and counsel he received from Irving Azoff and Halo Sports CEO Gillian Zucker. Ballmer's first major hire after buying the Clippers, Zucker is also the president of business operations for the team, for which she handles ticketing, marketing and sponsorships.

At the Dome, she was charged with creating an elevated experience not only for athletes, musicians and fans but also for concession workers preparing the food, journalists covering the events and truck drivers bringing in equipment and goods. Also key to Intuit's strong start is Becky Colwell, who pulls double duty as GM of the Forum and VP of Music and Events at the Dome—and oversees booking for both.

The 18k-cap Intuit covers 26 acres and features state-of-the-art technology, including a double-sided “halo board” digital screen that hovers in mid-air and encircles the arena. The facility also features five basketball courts, player and medical spaces, an indoor pool and an 80,000-square-foot plaza with two bars, a restaurant and a team store. The arena itself was built to resemble a net with a ball at its center.

Last week it was revealed that the Dome could soon offer something no other venue in the state allows—the ability to serve alcohol in VIP suites until 4am, thanks to a bill heading to Gov. Gavin Newsom's desk.

Inglewood native Mars (WME) opened Intuit on 8/15 and 16 with a surprise appearance both nights by duet partner Lady Gaga. Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco (UTA) played on 8/17, Marco Antonio Solis (TwoLA Heads) 8/18, Olivia Rodrigo (WME) 8/20-21, Phil Wickman & Brandon Lake (UTA) 8/22 and Peso Pluma (CAA) 8/24.

Twenty One Pilots (CAA) roll in tonight (8/28), and Future & Metro Boomin (Wasserman) play on Saturday (8/31).

Coming up at Intuit this fall are Slipknot 9/13-14 (CAA), Group Frontera 9/20, USHER (WME) 9/21, 22, 24 & 25, Weezer (WME) 10/11, Billy Joel (IAG) 10/12, David Gilmour (Paladin) 10/25 and Cyndi Lauper (UTA) 11/23.
