ROD WAVE RACKS UP 35 NEW RIAA CERTS

Alamo Records stalwart Rod Wave is surfing a new wave of RIAA certifcations—35 in all—for tracks from six of his projects.

The Tampa Bay Area rapper and songwriter notched quadruple-platinum status for the hits “Heart on Ice” and “Richer," featuring Polo G. “Girl of My Dreams” earned a triple-platinum cert, while “By Your Side” and “Dark Clouds” each rose to the double level.

Multiple titles from SoulFly, Pray 4 Love and Ghetto Gospel were certified gold and platinum.

Young Rod, who turns 26 next week, will no doubt be toasted by Alamo boss Todd Moscowitz.

Over here at HITS, we’ll settle for a room-temperature Michelob Ultra and some Skittles.
