Cactus Jack/Epic's Travis Scott has announced the official release of Days Before Rodeo, the mixtape that preceded his 2014 debut studio album, Rodeo. The project will hit DSPs for the first time Friday (8/23) along with a 10th anniversary boxed-set option for hardcore fans.
The rap superstar, who just wrapped a record-setting European stadium tour, also teased unreleased tracks from the "DBR vault" that will be included in the drop, available exclusively at www.travisscott.com.
Days Before Rodeo features collaborations with The 1975, Big Sean, Young Thug, Metro Boomin and Migos, among others. Archival footage previewed by Scott highlights the SoundCloud era of hip-hop, when the rapper and such contemporaries as Young Thug and Migos propelled the genre to new heights and inspired the subsequent generation of SoundCloud stars, including Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION and Lil Peep.
Since arriving just over a year ago, Scott's most recent full-length, UTOPIA, has crossed 2.7m in activity. The artist will continue his Live Nation-produced CIRCUS MAXIMUS trek in Latin America 9/7-22 and head Down Under on 10/17 for six dates.
