EMPIRE SALUTES SHABOOZEY AT OUTSIDE LANDS

Shaboozey's visit to the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco last weekend was made even more memorable thanks to a post-set presentation of a plaque commemorating his Country radio chart-topper, "(A Bar Song) Tipsy."

The song has accrued more than 612m streams just at Spotify, where it's presently #5 on the USA Top 50.

Flanking the artist above are EMPIRE founder/CEO Ghazi (copping a squat), several of the company's staffers and co-manager Abas Pauti (to Shaboozey's right).

Range-repped Shaboozey, who first surfaced on Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER, has helped debunk assumptions that country is a “white” genre—while weaving in hip-hop and R&B tropes. Will Grammy smile upon him with nods for Best New Artist and other top categories? (We note that Range also publishes "Tipsy" producer Sean Cook)
