*NSYNC'S "BYE" SAYS HI TO DEADPOOL STREAMING SURGE

*NSYNC is saying “Hi Hi Hi” to some serious streaming cash thanks to its 2000 single “Bye Bye Bye” receiving prominent placement in Deadpool & Wolverine.

The song is lodged in Spotify’s global Top 10 after a stateside surge of ... wait for it ... 800% from the week before the release of the film, which uses it in a pivotal dance scene. Not coincidentally, in the past week Google searches for “Deadpool Wolverine dance” spiked 1,110%.

Justin Timberlake and company aren’t the only ones feeling the Marvel Cinematic Universe love; Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” which is also prominently featured in the movie, notched a sales bump of 2,400 copies, according to Forbes. The song moved a mere 400 copies during the prior tracking week, per data from Luminate.

And while Green Day hasn't exactly been scarce on the streaming charts of late, it also saw a superhero surge, for “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” which nearly doubled its weekly tally from 708,000 to 1.33 million streams.

Forbes has likewise reported that the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” and “Only You” by The Platters—whose current lineup attended the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine—have also experienced sizable streaming upticks.

Meanwhile, please look away while HITS enjoys a sizable tub of heavily buttered popcorn in the middle of the afternoon.
