NBC CELEBRATES HUGE SUNDAY OLYMPICS VIEWERSHIP

Champagne corks are popping all over NBC’s Olympic village encampment now that results are in from the middle Sunday of the Games—and fast national data shows that it was the second-most viewed day of coverage so far.

Nielsen and Adobe Analytics tallied 35.4 million viewers, more than double the number who tuned in on the middle Sunday of the Tokyo games in 2020. The ratings were boosted by gold-medal performances by such Team U.S.A. stars as Noah Lyles, Suni Lee (pictured) and Bobby Finke.
