MARIAH MAKES PLANS FOR CHRISTMAS TOUR

The majority of the United States is baking in oppressive summertime heat, but relief is beckoning in the form of Mariah Carey's annual Christmas Time tour, which will wiggle back down the proverbial chimney beginning 11/6 in Los Angeles and conclude 12/17 in New York.

Per promoter Live Nation, this will be Mimi's "grandest holiday spectacle to date" and the first of several surprises planned in celebration of the 30th anniversary of her enduring Merry Christmas album. That LP is, of course, home to "All I Want for Christmas Is You," arguably the biggest holiday tune of modern times.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on 8/9.

Carey is currently in Sin City for another round of her Mimi: Live in Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which runs through 8/10.

Meanwhile, all we want for Christmas is love. Is that so wrong?
