Ticketmaster has acquired self-service ticketing platform Quicket to support the rapidly growing live-events market in Africa.
Founded in 2011, Quicket allows anyone organizing events to deliver a premiere ticketing experience to their audience.
“Africa is home to some of the most passionate fans in the world, whom we have the privilege of connecting to the events they love, simply and securely," said Ticketmaster President Mark Yovich. "Partnering with Quicket will supercharge our mission to elevate Africa’s dynamic live events to the global spotlight they deserve. Together, we're igniting a new era of unparalleled growth for African entertainment.”
Quicket will continue to operate as a stand-alone business in Cape Town, South Africa, under the leadership of Managing Director James Tagg.
