PESO PLAYS THE HITS AT TEXAS TOUR KICKOFF

Prajin Parlay/Double P’s Peso Pluma kicked off his ÉXODO tour in grand fashion last weekend with sold-out arena shows in Austin, Dallas and the Rio Grande Valley. The Live Nation-produced trek follows the arrival of Pluma’s ÉXODO, which enjoyed the biggest Latin streaming debut so far this year and a Top 5 bow on the HITS Top 50.

Performing in the round, Pluma offered up a pyro-charged set augmented by an eight-piece band and 16 dancers. The setup showcased the versatility of his catalog, largely characterized by música Mexicana and urbano, the Side A and Side B themes of ÉXODO.

Pluma is still recovering from the broken foot he suffered at Governors Ball in June, so he got a little extra help on opening weekend via surprise appearances by Kenia Os, Jasiel Nuñez, Tito Double P and Estevan Plazola.

Though the artist's 2024 campaign is focused on his new double disc, the tour is reminding fans of the impact of his debut LP, GÉNESIS. That set, which took home the Grammy for Best Música Mexicana Album to start the year, is overdue for some love from the Latin Recording Academy, as it's still eligible for the current Latin Grammy season.

The ÉXODO tour resumes 7/25 with four more arena dates in Texas. Pluma is repped by CAA.
