Just in time for Def Jam's 40th anniversary, LL COOL J is returning with his first album in more than a decade, The FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy), on 9/6 via Def Jam/Virgin Music Group. The 14-track set boasts appearances by a laundry list of fellow rap icons, including Nas, Eminem, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg.
LL dropped lead single "Saturday Night Special," featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe, last month. Follow-up "Passion," out now, can be found below.
Produced by A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip, The FORCE has been in the works for years as LL juggled his acting career and media brand ROCK THE BELLS. He's confessed that he had to learn "how to rap again." As he explained, “It’s like a director going back to film school after he’s had blockbusters or Denzel going back to acting class."
